AUDIO \ VISUAL SYSTEM DESIGN AND INSTALLATION PORTFOLIO

Grace Point Evangelical Free Church - Main Sanctuary P.A. Modification

Grace Point Evangelical Free Church auditorium seats approximately 500 patrons. The church outgrew its' original system and RLP was brought in to design a new one that better addressed the unique acoustic challenges of the room.

Because of the room shape and hard surface areas RLP installed JBL VRX 900 series speakers. These enclosures provide a consistent frequency representation across the entireity of their throw pattern. Their patterns allow for a very tightly defined listening area, avoiding cross-over, cancellation and a minimization of acoustic reflections.
       
A close up of one side of the two-cluster system. The physics of the "array" configuration (speakers stacked on top of each other) assists in providing an incredibly even volume over the systems enitre throw range. Whether you are 50 or 100 feet away the system's apparant loudness is the same.
An enclosure is only as good as the ampliphers driving it. For this installation RLP chose the Crown I-Tech series to provide clean and consistent power to the house system.
 
Common Ground Youth Ministry Center Outfit
This student ministry center provided a unique challenge due to its' multiple functions. RLP consulted on the equipment design and installation for the audio \ visual systems in the building.
A 50' x 80' performance area is central to the building's function. Three EV QRX 115 enclosures are flown above the re-configurable stage area. Two self-powered JBL 1500 watt Sound Factor subwoofer provide ample bass representation.
The EV enclosures are distanced and aimed for opimal coverage and to avoid "combing" or phase cancellation.
RLP also designed and installed a computer based multi-media playback system based on Media Complete's Media Shout software. The system also has SD video editing capabilites and can remote control video projector functions.
 
West Rome Baptist Church P.A. Replacement & Projection Installation
This venue called for a total P.A. system redesign and video projection installation. The sanctuary has a low ceiling and long depth. System design was tailored to compensate for these factors.
The front-facing EV-28's provide even coverage over a long throw distance. The pod-shaped EV EVID 6.2 provide low profile stage monitoring.
 
Intrersection Youth Ministry Center Outfit
Converted from an existing bus garage RLP designed and installed P.A., projection and lighting systems for this 250 seat youth ministry center. 16:9 aspect was maintained on all of the displays at the request of the client for future HD compatibility.
For this deployment RLP used a Panasonic DA-7 digital board with total recall. This enables users to store presets and quickly begin using the system without a total recalibration.
 
Loomis Park Baptist Church P.A. Replacement
Due to a lightning strike RLP was called in to rebuild the P.A. in this church. For this more traditional setting RLP chose the JBL VRX line array series.

The JBL VRX928LA cabinets and the VRX915s subwoofers are flown in an array configuration above the central performance area. The remarkably even frequency pattern and consistent apparant loudness provide a great listening experience for the congregation.

JBL Evid 6.2 were installed and directed toward the performance area for for low-profile stage monitoring.

The Allen and Heath PA28's straight forward design and ease of use provides a high level of functionality and low learning curve for lay operators.

The Audio Technica shock mounted microphone prevents noise transmission from users touching the pulpit.
 
Anderson Funeral Home Multizone A/V System Outfit
This multi-venue funeral home needed a system design that could provide P.A., audio and video playback and recording features to six rooms. RLP designed a system that not only met these qualifications but left room for future expansion.

An eight-zone digital mixer provides assignable ouputs so sources can be directed to any area of the facility. The mixers not only control volume but provide feedback suppression, EQ and compression. Two CD recorder / duplicators provide the ability to document services and quickly make copies.

 

The media control area provides plaback for cassettes, CD, DVD and music rotation. The system provides support for almost any source material that a patron may supply.

Crown CDI-1000 ampliphers provide clean consistent power to all zones in the facility.
 
Functional Design Systems Video Production Studio Outfit
RLP designed and installed the lighting system for this green screen / infinity wall set. Dimmable flourescent fixtures provide consistent color temperature across a variety of intensities. Fixtures provide even diffision over a large area so that post process keying is simple.
RLP also created a lighting system for this more traditonal set at the same location. Again the flexibility of dimmable flourescent fixtures provide consistent color temprature across a variety of intensities. Coverage is even and consistent so that subjects are correctly lit at any location within the set.
       
One of the cameras in a three camera video switch based system that RLP designed. Based on the JVC HDV format, the system utilizes the cameras' ability to output 720 60P. Designed to be portable, the system can easily be reset in a remote location.
This eighteen foot jib arm has a robotic head with variable speed control, controls for pan, zoom, tilt as well as focus. The arm can be extended or retracted for a variety of production environments.
       
The eight channel HD switcher provides realtime preview and program output to the HD LCD monitor rack and HDV output to a recording deck or computer.
The HD monitor rack provides a "what you see is what you get" output with no compromise of image quality. All three cameras can be Independently monitored as well as the output of the recording deck.
